Operation Safe Summer Nets 19 Arrests

BAY COUNTY, FL – (July 22, 2024) Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford held a press conference today at the Bay County Sheriff’s Office to announce the successful conclusion to a four-day internet operation called Operation Safe Summer.
Participating agencies were the Bay County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the US Marshals Service, the Panama City Police Department, the Panama City Beach Police Department, the Lynn Haven Police Department, and the Springfield Police Department. All but the FBI are members of the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force,
The operation began July 17, 2024, and concluded July 20, 2024. Nineteen men were arrested for using the internet to set up a meeting with a minor for sex or possession of child pornography.
Arrested were:
Rojha Johnson, age 30, of Panama City Beach. He was charged with one count of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child
Derek King, age 39, of Atlanta, Georgia, on two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child
Mario Malcolm, age 23, of Panama City Beach, for Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
Johnathan McCormick, age 27, of Springfield, Florida, for Possession of Drug Equipment and two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
Demarcus McDaniel, age 27, of Panama City, for two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
Oshane Nembhard, age 28, of Panama City, for one count of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
David Patrick, age 41, of Southport, Fl, for 10 counts of Obscene Material/Possession and View Depiction of Child Sex Conduct.
Michael Brian Patrick, age 44, of Panama City, for 6 counts of Obscene Material/Possession and View Depiction of Child Sex Conduct.
Bobby Joe Sheffield, age 51, of Arkansas, for 2 counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
Jericho Skipper, age 29, of Panama City, for 11 counts of Obscene Material/Possession and View Depiction of Child Sex Conduct.
Aiden Thrift, age 18, of Panama City, for 10 counts of Obscene Material/Possession and View Depiction of Child Sex Conduct.
Brock Westrom, age 34, of Minnesota, for three counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
James Wortham, age 33, of Mary Esther, Fl, for two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child and one count of Obscene Material, Distribute/Transmit Information Harmful to Minors.
Romario Anderson, age 24, of Panama City Beach for three counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child and Hold for Ice.
John Corlett, age 47, of Panama City for three counts of Cruelty Toward Child/Promote Sexual Performance of a Child.
Robert Cox, age 22, of Lynn Haven, Fl, for five counts of Obscene Material Possession/Control View Depictions of Child Sexual Conduct.
Bradley “BG” Doty, age 41, of Memphis, Tennessee, for two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
Daniel Haskins, age 43, of Panama City Beach, for two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child, and one count of Failure to Appear.
Tito Hernandez, age 41, of Franklin, North Carolina for two counts of Obscene Communications/Travel to Meet After Use of Computer to Lure a Child.
