PANAMA CITY, FL - The GFWC Women’s Club of Panama City is hosting a greatly anticipated dinner and variety show beginning at 5:30 pm on April 6th. The tickets tease that the name of the show was “Borrowed from the Great White Way. Lights. Camera. Action!”

The highly skilled director of the event, Lois Lawrence, conceived of the idea last year, recruited the talent, and selected and purchased the music. Ms. Lawrence said that the musical entertainment will feature local talent including Neysa Wilkins Semmler, doing two novelty numbers and one solo from “Phantom of the Opera;“ six club leaders doing “The Ex-wives” of the Musical “Six” as well as the “Cell-block Tango” from “Chicago” and “Pink Ladies” from “Grease;“ GFWC’s very own Sunshine Singers singing three numbers, one in each act, and six great male singers doing a song in each act. Two dance numbers will be performed, one a pretty one and one a novelty one, and also a “sort of skit” by Judi Lawrence. All in all, there will be a total of fourteen acts over the course of the evening. Dinner will be provided with a menu of Caesar salad, chicken tetrazzini and chocolate cake and you may bring your own wine, if you so desire.

Tickets for the show are $30 and can be purchased by calling 850-960-0057 and leaving a message if no one is available. The event will be held at GFWC Women’s Club, 350 North Cove Boulevard in Panama City.

This promises to be a scrumptious dinner and great fun so make plans to attend!
