Bay County GOP Takes Stand with Resolutions on Pfizer Legal Action and Police Chief Accountability
BAY COUNTY, FL - The Bay County Republican Party has recently passed two crucial resolutions, addressing pressing issues at both the state and local levels.
Resolution 1: Florida's Legal Action Against Pfizer
The first resolution urges the State of Florida to follow Texas's lead in taking legal action against Pfizer. The resolution is driven by concerns about the federal government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic and the potential failures or malfeasance of the FDA. The resolution outlines issues such as limited citizen rights, special privileges granted to pharmaceutical companies, and concerns about transparency in disclosing details about COVID-19 and related treatments.
The Bay County GOP expresses solidarity with Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's lawsuit against Pfizer, accusing the pharmaceutical giant of deceiving the public about the effectiveness of its COVID-19 vaccine. The resolution also aligns with statements from Florida's Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladapo, who has criticized the FDA's handling of vaccine assessments. In summary, the resolution calls for Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody to join Texas in legal action against pharmaceutical companies and for the state legislature to collaborate with the Florida Surgeon General to enhance pharmaceutical regulation, prioritizing the safety of Floridians.
Resolution 2: Termination of Lynn Haven Police Chief Ricky Raime
The second resolution addresses concerns about Lynn Haven Police Chief Ricky Raime's conduct and history of behavior that allegedly brings embarrassment to the city. The resolution emphasizes instances of Chief Raime's involvement in a hit-and-run incident and his use of vulgar language to describe a city official. Furthermore, it accuses Chief Raime of improperly releasing information about a candidate during an election.
The Bay County GOP, through this resolution, calls for a vote of no confidence on Police Chief Raime by the Lynn Haven City Commission. Additionally, the party expects City Manager Vicki Gainer to hold Chief Raime accountable for his actions and pledges to hold Gainer accountable if she fails in her responsibilities.
These resolutions demonstrate the Bay County GOP's commitment to addressing critical issues at both the state and local levels, aiming to protect the rights of citizens.
The Republican Party of Florida promotes the principles upon which our nation and our state were founded: freedom, liberty, personal responsibility, and accountability.
