Women's Civic Club of Panama City Beach, FL Hosts Annual Gala: "Oh What A Night!"

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - The Women's Civic Club of Panama City Beach is gearing up for an unforgettable evening of community spirit and philanthropy. Under the banner of "Caring and Sharing with Our Community," the upcoming gala promises a night of entertainment and purpose, scheduled to take place at the Laketown Wharf Event Center on 9902 S Thomas Dr., Panama City Beach, FL, on Saturday, February 3, 2024, from 6 pm to 10 pm.
Established in 1967, the Panama City Beach Women’s Civic Club has been a beacon of civic engagement and community service. Its mission from the outset has been to promote civic improvements for the beach while providing aid to projects that benefit the community. Comprising women from diverse backgrounds—business owners, individuals with special interests, and residents—the club has consistently worked towards making Panama City Beach a better place to live and visit.
As a proactive and hardworking club, a significant portion of the year is dedicated to fundraising efforts, with proceeds allocated to sponsored projects and activities. The Women's Civic Club engages in a variety of fundraising initiatives, including arts and craft fairs, dances, silent auctions, Ironman events, and various other endeavors. Additionally, the club collaborates with the Tourist Development Council, offering support to numerous projects throughout the year.
Over the years, the Women's Civic Club has played a pivotal role in several substantial projects that have left a lasting impact on the community. These include collaborating with other agencies to create the "Under the Palms Playground," securing support for Gayle’s Trails and Conservation Park, contributing to the planning and funding of the Panama City Beach Public Library, and participating in hurricane and disaster recovery efforts. In the previous year, the club played a crucial role in realizing the Frank Brown Splash Pool.
The annual gala is a culmination of the club's dedication to community service and fundraising. The event promises a night of celebration, featuring dancing, a silent auction, a buffet dinner, a cash bar, a 50/50 raffle drawing, and door prizes. Attendees can partake in the festivities while contributing to the club's ongoing mission.
