* Housing Roundtable:  Join City staff and Commission for another Panama City Housing Roundtable with the Florida Housing Coalition on Monday, April 13, from 4 to 6 PM at the Bay County Government Center. This follow-up workshop will use a local housing toolkit to enhance strategies for Policymakers, Builders, and Housing Advocates.

** Comprehensive Plan Public Workshops: The City will host a series of public workshops on April 16–17 to gather community input for its Comprehensive Plan.  The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range policy document that guides future growth and development. It establishes overall goals, objectives, and policies related to land use, housing, transportation, infrastructure, and conservation, typically looking ahead 10 to 20 years to outline the City’s vision for the future. Residents are encouraged to attend and share their feedback.
Special Events to Enjoy

  • April 4: Easter Eggstravaganza at MLK Jr. Recreation Center - Hop into spring with a fun-filled free community Easter celebration at the MLK Jr. Recreation Center! Families are invited to enjoy a morning of festive activities, including an exciting Easter egg hunt featuring special golden egg prizes hidden throughout the park. Children can participate in age specific hunts for ages 5 and under or ages 6–12. Guests can also stop by the spring-themed photo backdrop to capture the perfect Easter memory and enjoy a special visit from the Easter Bunny. The event will take place on Saturday, April 4, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, at the outdoor multipurpose field and playground. Free admission—no registration required.   • April 11: 6th Annual Bicycle Rodeo hosted by the PCPD - The Panama City Police Department will host the 6th Annual Bicycle Rodeo on Saturday, April 11, from 9 AM to 1 PM at Oakland Terrace Park. Kids of all ages are invited to bring their bikes and helmets for a fun and educational day featuring bicycle inspections, basic maintenance tips, proper helmet fittings, obstacle courses, games, giveaways, and entertainment. Free helmets will be available while supplies last, and food, music, and bike support will be provided throughout the event. Bring the family and come ride with us!   • April 18: Earth Day - Join us at the St. Andrew's Farmer's Market on April 18 from 9 AM to 1 PM for the Annual Earth Day Celebration! Activities for the whole family include music and dancing, craft and food vendors, environment vendors, and a tree giveaway. The Earth Day Proclamation reading will begin at 11:45 AM.

  • April 24: Musically Up Close - The Panama City Symphony, in partnership with the City of Panama City, brings live musical performances to the City Hall Rotunda once a month through their “Musically Up Close” series.  These free concerts feature intimate chamber music by PCS musicians and special guests, offering the community a chance to enjoy classical and contemporary music in a relaxed downtown setting. Join us, Friday, April 24, at 3:30 PM in the City Hall Rotunda for the next Musically Up Close.

  • April 25: Arbor Day Tree Giveaway - Participate in our third of six tree giveaways scheduled for the year! Saturday, April 25, at Oaks by the Bay Park from 8:00 – 11:00 AM, or while supplies last. Each household can receive up to 2 trees.   • April 25: Henry Davis Park Reopening - Henry Davis Park in the Glenwood community is nearing completion of its major revitalization, featuring the new Kiwanis Centennial Playground, a Bankshot basketball court, gaga ball pit, updated swing set, and a pavilion with picnic tables and grilling space. The community garden is also being enhanced with shade structures, storage, and workstations. Join us for the park’s reopening on April 25 from 11 AM to 1 PM with food, drinks, music by DJ Big Boi, and opportunities to enjoy the new amenities.
