Good brings more than a decade of experience in education and school leadership to the role. She currently serves as principal of Callaway Elementary School, where she has led the campus since 2022. During her tenure, she guided the school through state turnaround status while improving academic performance through targeted interventions, data-driven decision-making, and differentiated instructional strategies.

Her leadership has been widely recognized across the district. Among her accomplishments, Good has been named Bay District Schools Principal of the Year and has served as a Charlotte Danielson Framework Trainer and an accreditation committee member.

Good earned a Master’s Degree in School Leadership from the University of West Florida, a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction from Saint Xavier University, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Florida State University.

“I am honored to serve the students, staff, and families of Deer Point Elementary,” said Good. “I look forward to working alongside the Deer Point team to build on their strong culture as a place where students thrive and everyone believes in what’s possible.”

Bay District Schools Superintendent Mark McQueen said Good’s leadership experience and passion for student success make her a strong fit for the Deer Point community. “Michelle has a proven track record of strengthening school culture and improving student achievement,” McQueen said. “Her energy, vision, and commitment to students will serve Deer Point Elementary well as we continue to strive to Put the “A” Back in Bay.”

While she officially begins July 1, Good will begin transitioning to her new position as early as April.
