Update: First Annual Christmas Tree Celebration In Lynn Haven – Come Vote For Your Favorite Tree
LYNN HAVEN, FL - The Lynn Haven Heritage Society is hosting what we hope is the first Annual Christmas Tree Celebration. The businesses on Florida Avenue will each decorate a Christmas Tree in the motif of their business then on the evening of Friday, December 12th, every business on Florida Avenue between 7th and 9th will stay open from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, to allow the public to do a walk-through of each business to each creation.
Everyone will end up at Roberts Hall, where there will be additional trees set up from other Lynn Haven businesses that are not located on Florida Avenue. There will be a place at Roberts Hall for everyone to vote for their favorite Christmas Tree, as well as for enjoying special treats for the evening.
We will try to get one of the local news stations to follow our evening and show the Tree voted the Best Tree in the Christmas Tree Celebration. The winning tree will be featured on our Facebook page and the business will be given a small plaque showing they are the winner of the First Annual Christmas Tree Celebration in Lynn Haven.
The event may be small this first year, but we hope to can get more and more participants each year.
The Lynn Haven Heritage Society is hosting this event to help raise funds to refurbish the old McMullin Library on Georgia Avenue. There will be a Silent Auction at Roberts Hall for the public to bid on as they come to place their vote for the best Tree.
Please help by donating something from your business such as a gift card, gift basket, etc. All proceeds will go to the Heritage Society as our fund raiser.
