$15,000 Cash Recovered From Burglary Suspect Christopher Garrett
BAY COUNTY, FL – Bay County Sheriff, Tommy Ford, announced the arrest of Christopher Garrett. On 10/30/25 deputies responded to B&B Auto Sales at 2233 Hwy 231 in regard to a burglary. The owner stated an unknown male walked into B&B through the back and headed straight to a drawer where he stole approximately $18,500 and two checks written to the business.
Through investigative techniques the suspect was identified as 55-year-old Christopher Garrett. Garrett was also a suspect in a previous case involving Grand Theft, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Fraud.
A search warrant was executed on Garrett’s residence where investigators discovered $15,000 in stolen cash. The clothing worn during the burglary as seen in the surveillance footage was also found inside Garrett’s truck. Garrett was discovered to be driving the truck in the area at the same time of the burglary. Investigators discovered Garrett purchased two new tires, air pods, two tablets, and other miscellaneous items with the stolen cash. Investigators also discovered inside the residence a loaded handgun. Garrett is a convicted felon in the State of Florida.
Garrett was arrested and charged with Burglary in an Unoccupied Dwelling, 2 counts of Grand Theft, Fraud, Dealing in Stolen Property, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. Garrett was transported to the Bay County Jail.
