First Annual Christmas Tree Celebration In Lynn Haven – Come Vote For Your Favorite Tree
The Lynn Haven Heritage Society is going to host what we hope is an annual Christmas Tree Celebration. The plan is to have the businesses on Florida Avenue to decorate a Christmas Tree in the motif of their business.
We are then planning to have a single night, Friday, December 12th, when your business would be willing to stay open or be open from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm to allow the public to do a walk-through of Florida Avenue and your business to see the tree you have created.
The public will then end at Roberts Hall where there will be additional trees set up from other Lynn Haven businesses not located on Florida Avenue.
The public will then have a place at Roberts Hall to vote for their favorite Christmas Tree, as well as enjoying special treats for the evening.
We will try to get one of the local news stations to follow our evening and show the Tree voted the Best Tree in the Christmas Tree Celebration. We will also feature your tree on our Facebook page and give the business a small plaque showing they are the winner of the First Annual Christmas Tree Celebration in Lynn Haven.
We do expect our event to be rather small this first year but hope we can get more and more participants each year.
The Lynn Haven Heritage Society is hosting this first event to help raise funds to refurbish the old McMullin Library on Georgia Avenue. Of which we hope to get started on in the next month or so. In raising funds for the Library, we will have a silent Action set up at Roberts Hall for the public to bid on as they come to place their vote for the best Tree.
We are hoping you will help with donating something from your business even a gift card, gift basket, etc. All proceeds will go to the Heritage Society as our fund raiser.
