Magically Up Close: Free Performance on Friday, October 17th, at 3:30 pm

The City of Panama City, Parks, Culture & Recreation and Panama City Symphony invite you to join Dr. Mary Matthews, acclaimed flutist and Florida State University professor, as a special guest artist stepping in for the originally scheduled performer, for a memorable afternoon of music inspired by folklore, mythology, and landscape.

Enjoy an exciting journey through works by Debussy, Hoover, Hailstork, Loggins-Hull, and more, all performed by one of today’s most dynamic and imaginative flutists.

The performance will be on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 3:30 pm, under the Rotunda at City Hall, City of Panama City, 501 Harrison Avenue.
