LYNN HAVEN, FL – The Lynn Haven Recall Committee is thrilled to announce that we have received the official petitions from the City Clerk, and we are ready to collect signatures. We will have 60 days to collect a little over 2,350 signatures from registered voters who reside within the Lynn Haven city limits. All voters, whether you have signed before or not, are eligible to sign this petition and we encourage all who have signed previously to come back out and sign so that your voice is heard when this goes before the courts and we demand that a recall election occur.

The mayor has provided his defense statement, and just like his time in office, it is a jumble of half-truths and campaign promises that don’t reflect the facts that have been uncovered. For years after Hurricane Michael, this city has been led down a bad path by the mayor and city employees who entangled themselves in corruption and political favors at the expense of taxpayers. Now, facing mounting debt and critical infrastructure needs, the mayor prefers to incite anger towards residents during commission meetings rather than stand up as a leader and admit his faults.
The City of Lynn Haven is at a critical turning point in its history that may determine its viability for decades to come. We ask that every resident who loves our city and is tired of the corruption and lies, will come out and sign the Final Petition in the month of October. The committee will be hosting special events and a fast-paced outreach campaign to get this last round finished quickly. If this new petition is certified, then the matter will go before a local judge to decide if there are legal grounds to hold a recall election. We hope to have an election date on the books by Christmas.
Lynn Haven is a beautiful community filled with some of the best people we know. It’s time that we had an administration that reflects the core values we know to be in the hearts of every resident in Lynn Haven, and a mayor that looks out for our best interests, not his own.
