Candidate Names Forwarded To Governor For Circuit Court Judgeship And Bay County Judgeship

PANAMA CITY, FL – As per the Governor’s request and pursuant to the Florida Constitution and Florida Statutes, the 14th Judicial Circuit Nominating Commission recently convened in order to begin the process of filling the two new positions of Circuit Court Judgeship and Bay County Court Judgeship that were recently created by the Florida Legislature.

The Commission received fourteen (14) applications from interested members of the Florida Bar. The Commission interviewed eight (8) of the fourteen (14) individuals in order to determine their fitness for appointment. Those interviews took place on August 29, 2025.

Upon completion of the interview process, the Commission proceeded directly to deliberations. After much discussion and careful consideration, the Commission agreed that the following seven (7) candidates are highly qualified and more than capable to fill the position, or positions, available. Consequently, the following applicants have been forwarded to the Governor for his consideration.
