City Of Callaway Announces Search For Ward I Commissioner

CALLAWAY, FL – September 10th, 2025 – Notice is hereby given that the City of Callaway Commission will accept applications to fill the unexpired term of the Ward I Commission Seat until the next official election in November 2026. You must reside in Ward I to apply for this temporary appointment. Pursuant to the City’s Charter, Section 2.04 – Qualifications for Elected Office, the following are required to submit an application for the vacancy:
· Applicants must be a registered voter (elector) of Bay County.
 · Applicants must have resided for at least thirty-six (36) months, immediately prior to the appointment, within the city limits of the City of Callaway, Florida and at least six (6) months immediately prior to the day of the election within the ward for which they are candidates.

Submission of a Résumé is welcome and encouraged. Following appointment, the applicant will be required to file a Financial Disclosure. 
Applications can be picked up at City Hall and must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, to be considered. For further information, please contact the City Clerk at (850) 215-6694 or arobyck@cityofcallaway.com.
