Kaleidoscope Theatre Announces She Kills Monsters As Part Of Its 51st Season

LYNN HAVEN, FL – Kaleidoscope Theatre is proud to present She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen, a comedic romp into the world of fantasy role-playing games, as part of its landmark 51st season. This action-packed, heartfelt play opens Friday, October 3, 2025, and promises audiences a unique blend of laughter, adventure, and emotional depth.

Set in the 1990s, She Kills Monsters tells the story of Agnes Evans, an average high school teacher who, after the sudden death of her younger sister Tilly, discovers Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook. Entering the imaginary world her sister created, Agnes finds herself on a journey of discovery, battling demons (both literal and personal) alongside a band of larger-than-life fantasy adventurers.

“She Kills Monsters is both wildly entertaining and deeply moving,” said Summer and Matthew Bonnin, directors of the production. “It’s a love letter to geeks, outsiders, and anyone who has ever felt like they didn’t belong. It’s also a heartfelt exploration of grief, identity, and sisterhood…all wrapped up in sword fights, monsters, and plenty of laughs.”

Audiences can expect dazzling stage combat, imaginative creatures, and the kind of humor that only comes from epic quests gone awry. The production will also feature innovative set pieces, immersive lighting, and costuming inspired by classic fantasy role-playing games.
