Dedication Ceremony for “New Sentry” At Oaks By The Bay Park On October 10th
PANAMA CITY, FL – On October 20th at 2 pm, the seven-year anniversary of Hurricane Michael, the City will host a special dedication ceremony at Oaks by the Bay Park to commemorate the planting of a new southern live oak, named “New Sentry.”
Planted in the area formerly home to storm-damaged tree sculptures, like the beloved Mermaid Totem, this new tree serves as a living monument to resilience, honoring the recovery of the past and hope for the future.
The public is invited to join the ceremony and witness this meaningful milestone made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Panama City Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA). Come be part of a moment that honors our city’s strength, growth, and shared journey forward.
A healthy Bay County requires great community news.
