Rexavion Stanley Arrested For Fleeing With Two Children, Hit And Run And Possession

PANAMA CITY, FL – On September 23, 2025, officers with the Panama City Police Department arrested Rexavion Stanley following a series of dangerous incidents that began during a routine traffic stop near East 23rd Street and Highway 231.
When officers attempted the stop, Stanley fled the scene with two young children inside the vehicle. Due to traffic conditions and concern for the safety of the children, officers did not actively pursue. Stanley continued to drive recklessly, ultimately causing a crash before fleeing the scene without rendering aid.
A short time later, officers located the abandoned vehicle near 9th Street and Harrison Avenue. The two children were found a few blocks away and were unharmed. Stanley was later discovered hiding inside a closed building and was taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including:
• Fleeing and Eluding
• Child Neglect (2 counts)
• Hit and Run with Injury
• Reckless Driving
• Resisting Without Violence
• Possession of Marijuana (less than 20 grams)
• Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
