Honoring Charlie Kirk By Continuing His Mission
BAY COUNTY, FL – As we mourn the untimely, violent death of Charlie Kirk, thousands of students and teachers throughout our nation are rising to honor his life and mission by forming Turning Point USA chapters in their schools.
Just past midnight on September 14th, Andrew Kolvet, a spokesperson for Turning Point USA, posted on X, “I wanted to share a praise report from TPUSA. The organization has received over 32,000 inquiries in the last 48 hours to start new campus chapters. To put that in perspective, TPUSA currently has 900 official college chapters and around 1,200 high school chapters, with a presence on 3,500 total. Charlie’s vision to have a Club America chapter (our high school brand) in every high school in America (around 23,000) will come true much faster than he could have ever possibly imagined. Truly incredible.”
Moms for Liberty supports parents’ rights to send their children to school without fear of violence if their students voice conservative values and beliefs. As political and spiritual views become more polarized in our nation, the risk of hateful, violent acts increases, as seen in the tragic loss of Charlie Kirk, a young husband and father of two small children.
Parents desiring to pass conservative values to their children want them to receive support and education in carrying the torch of freedom to the next generation. They do not wish their children’s voices to be suppressed in a school environment that may be hostile. While teachers’ colleges and curriculum providers increasingly support the loss of freedom through advancing socialism, TPUSA chapters provide the support and education that young conservatives need to stand firm in the growing tide of hatred against them, simply because of their beliefs.
Moms for Liberty Bay County Chapter Chair, April Gibson, shared, “I propose we honor Charlie’s mission. Moms for Liberty’s mission is parental rights in education. As part of that, we must allow teachers and parents’ children the opportunity, no, the right to share their conservative Christian views on campus. We would like to assist in the formation of a TPUSA chapter in every high school and college in Bay County.”
Teachers and students desiring freedom-loving support and education can easily start a TPUSA “Club America” in their high school. All that is required is one teacher as a sponsor and three interested high school students to launch the club. Turning Point USA will “empower bold student leaders to promote free thinking, engage in grassroots activism, and bring their beliefs to life—both on and off campus. With support from 54 full-time Field Representatives, club leaders receive eye-catching materials, resources, and guidance to host impactful events. Start a Club America chapter and make a difference at your school!” (https://tpusa.com)
