BAY COUNTY, FL – August 14th, 2025 – Patrick Chapin has submitted his resignation as President and CEO of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce, effective September 26, 2025.

He has accepted the position of Chief Executive Officer at Camp Boggy Creek, a year-round residential camp founded by Paul Newman and General Norman Schwarzkopf that serves children with serious illnesses and their families. Having spent a lot of time with Patrick this year, I'm confident this opportunity aligns with his passion and personal values, particularly given his family's close connection to the cause.

I am thankful for Patrick's time with our chamber and want to celebrate significant milestones achieved under his leadership including:

  • Successful renewal of the infrastructure surtax
  • Implementation of the Vision Investors program
  • Migration to new membership database management system and website
  • Enhanced organizational culture and engagement
As we transition, the Executive Committee will promptly work on establishing an executive search committee and process for hiring a new chamber leader. More information to follow.

Please join me in congratulating Patrick on his once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and thank him for his leadership over the past 18 months as your President and CEO of the Bay County Chamber of Commerce.
