Park or Beach? Both!

Leslie Porter Park also known as Leslie Porter Wayside Park, sits on North Bay alongside Bailey Bridge in Lynn Haven, Fl. It was named after a former business owner and City Commissioner, William Leslie Porter, who passed in 1968 at an age of 67 years.

This park has something for all ages. Two swing sets and two separate playgrounds are great features of this park. The playgrounds have several benches for adults to rest while kids play.

But it goes beyond entertaining children. Several boat ramps, picnic shelters with grills, and a walking path offer entertainment for adults.

Additionally, It has colorful Adirondack chairs scattered across the beach to sit down and enjoy the water and watch for dolphins, jumping fish or to just read a book.

This park has plenty of parking, a centrally located restrooms and an ice machine. Currently there is a large Christmas tree near the beach as well.

I was able to pull over a chair into the shade of a palm tree and relax on the beach with my book.

I saw people park to walk across the Fred Strickland Memorial Recreational Bridge which sits well below Bailey Bridge, so there is no fear of passing cars.

To access this park, travel north on route 77 and exit to your right onto Third Street just before Bailey Bridge. The address is listed as 200 Michigan Ave and you can clearly see the park from Third Street.
