by Bay County Sheriff’s Office

BAY COUNTY, FL – On July 3, 2025, Sheriff Tommy Ford announced the arrest of Tyler Gregory Davis, age 32, after he led deputies and investigators on a short pursuit before he wrecked his vehicle. Davis was wanted on several warrants and was believed to be driving a stolen vehicle and armed with a stolen handgun.
BCSO Criminal Investigations developed information that morning that Davis was near the Kingswood Road area of Southport. Multiple units, as well as the BCSO Air Unit, were dispatched to the area and Davis was spotted on Kingswood driving a truck, the vehicle believed stolen in Washington County. Davis fled the deputies and investigators down Kingswood and then onto sod farm fields located off Kingswood.
As deputies and investigators closed in, Tyler Gregory Davis attempted to jump a ditch in the truck, causing the vehicle to hit nose-first on the other side of the ditch, slamming to a stop. Davis crawled out the passenger side and fell on his belly, placing his hands behind his back. He was quickly placed into handcuffs.
Davis is being medically evaluated at a local hospital. In addition to his outstanding warrants, Davis is a suspect in several cases under investigation in Washington County. Davis now faces a charge of Fleeing and Eluding. Additional charges expected on Tyler Gregory Davis.
