Kaleidoscope Theater Returns, Unveiling The Nuncrackers in a Hilarious Comeback Christmas Performance!
LYNN HAVEN, FL - Kaleidoscope Theater is back!! After closing down following Hurricane Michael, a community effort has brought it back even better than before just in time for the holiday season with its first full production, The Nuncrackers.
The Nuncrackers is a musical comedy by Dan Groggin, about some Nuns who win the Sweepstakes and the Reverend Mother decides to build a studio in the convent basement and produce the Nutcracker. What better way to kick off the Christmas season than with this delightful comedy running December 1st through the 10th. Tickets can be purchased at https://kt-online.org/
This production is directed by Barbara McMinis, and Choreographed by Gary Buynak. Sue Webb, a member of the Kaleidoscope Theater Board of directors, is the Musical Director for this production. She has worked with Kaleidoscope Theater since the late seventies and couldn’t be happier to have it operational again for the community. To Sue, it has always been a nurturing place where everyone could come and feel safe expressing their artistic talents. It is truly a family. No matter the talent, from acting and singing, to set design or sewing, all are welcome at Kaleidoscope Theater. Sue points out that there are at least three people behind the scenes for every individual on the stage. Additionally, there are more people who handle the concessions and tickets and other operations. It is a team effort, and the community is the only reason for its comeback.
Patron donations and insurance proceeds allowed for the renovation of one structure and the rebuilding of the other. Additionally, the Kaleidoscope Theater plans to be available to rent by other local productions. So come out and enjoy yourself this holiday season while supporting the arts in your community.
