Dolly Parton’s Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show Sails into Panama City Beach

PANAMA CITY BEACH, FL - Celebrate the pirate spirit with fun and adventure in Panama City Beach, Florida. I was blessed with the opportunity to go to the opening for a special media day on June 5th, with Dolly Parton speaking about her newest adventure, Pirates Voyage Dinner & Show.

Dolly expressed her joy, "Seeing my new show open here in Panama City Beach is another dream come true for me. I love going into new areas of the country and finding ways to bring world-class entertainment experiences to the folks there and a great dinner feast, too." So many jobs were brought to Panama City Beach from several places to fill in the acrobatics and trapeze acts. Of course, Dolly was wearing the cutest aqua Pirate outfit accented with beige boots and hat.
The morning started with face painting by Kimberly. She painted the faces of Addie and Blakey Register, daughters of marketing director Heather Register. If you come to a show, your children can have their faces painted. There is a phenomenal pre-show in the lobby with our local Jack and Gin musicians. Take your picture with a pirate ship as you enter, and you can purchase a souvenir.

There are opportunities to visit the animals of the show. The Macaw Birds are quite beautiful, flying around the arena before the show. The seal performance was one of the favorites.
Media had the opportunity to come back for the evening full experience of the show with a dinner feast which included biscuit, soup, roasted chicken, pulled pork, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes, and dessert.
The show features mermaids, pirates, acrobat performances, and sword fights. Dolly opened the show in her red and black pirate outfit, and the crowd applauded with excitement!
Construction began on the entertainment venue in February 2024. It is a 60 million dollar attraction. PCB needed this attraction. It is something a child will never forget. This is an amazing way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or special occasion.
PCB WJHG Channel 7 Jessica Foster, Assistant News Director and Evening Anchor, was there to cover this exclusive event.
