Ask Anne - Timeless Style Tips for Looking Young at 65

Question: “I recently read that in order to look younger, dress younger.  I’m 65. Thoughts?” 

Answer: In scripture, it says women should dress respectably, with modesty and self-control. (1 Tim 2:9, 10) But, I need to ask some questions: What’s your motivation? Do you want to make others notice your body? Are you trying to draw attention from men? Are you trying to look better than the women you hang out with? Will the clothes you’re wearing cause someone to stumble? 

Then, there’s your budget: If you stick with the “classics” (study the styles of Katharine Hepburn, Audrey Hepburn, and Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis), you will see clothes that are timeless.  Following trends is expensive and wasteful, so set your “own” style being authentic to your personality.
