Callaway Cleans Up With Waste Amnesty Days

BAY COUNTY, FL - Bay County's Waste Amnesty Days are being held on Friday, April 19, and Saturday, April 20, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Steelfield Landfill located at 11411 Landfill Road in West Bay, off State 79.

There are specific guidelines for waste disposal. The city does not provide household garbage collection service, and certain types of waste, including tires, construction debris, hazardous materials, and large dead animals, are excluded from collection.

For hazardous waste disposal, residents can bring items such as old computer hardware, including processors, monitors, keyboards, printers, and scanners, during the amnesty days.

Additionally, waste from conditionally exempt small quantity generators, like schools and small businesses, may be accepted at a discounted rate with prior approval.
