Candidate's Statement - Jeff Snyder - Lynn Haven City Commissioner seat 4

My name is Jeff Snyder, and I would be honored to serve as your next Lynn Haven Commissioner! We are blessed to live in what I believe is the best city in Bay County. While our community isn’t immune to challenges, I firmly believe it’s the responsibility of citizens to work toward making their home the best it can be. That’s why I’m running—to collaborate with my fellow commissioners and ensure Lynn Haven remains the premier destination for families moving to Bay County.

My family first moved to the area in 1989, and we became proud residents of Lynn Haven in February of 1990. Around this time, we also joined First Baptist Lynn Haven, where I remain actively involved in a variety of roles.

I am a proud graduate of Lynn Haven Elementary, Mowat Middle School, Mosley High School, and Gulf Coast State College. After college, I entered the workforce and discovered my calling in sales. One of my guiding principles is to listen more than I speak—an approach that has served me well professionally and one that I will continue as commissioner.

At a Halloween party in 2007, I met the love of my life, Samantha Holt. We were married in September 2009 and have been happily driving each other crazy for the last 15 years. Together, we are the proud parents of four wonderful children who now attend the same schools I was fortunate enough to attend.

In the spring of 2019, I applied for and was appointed a position to the Lynn Haven Planning Board. Over the past six years, I have had the privilege of serving in this role, including two years as chairman, elected by my fellow board members. Through this position, I’ve worked to review and provide recommendations on nearly all commercial and multi-unit residential developments within our city limits.

A passion for service is at the core of who I am. This passion has driven my professional success and given me a deep sense of personal fulfillment. Now, I’m ready to take the next step by serving as your city commissioner. I look forward to working on behalf of Lynn Haven and its citizens.
