What IS Reiki? Reiki is a hands-on healing art that channels energy into the body. It is a natural, simple healing system that children can be taught to do. The term 'Reiki' comes from two Japanese syllables, Rei and Ki (pronounced 'ray' and 'key'). Rei represents the Source of Universal Life Force, and Ki represents energy and its movement in and around us. Although the term Reiki is Japanese, coined by Mikao Usui, whose quest for the healing methods of Jesus began in the late 1800's, it was known in India prior to the birth of Jesus. 

What is a healer? All healing is self healing. As we train in and become Reiki Practitioners we engage first in self healing, and then in holding space and helping to facilitate the healing of others. Curing and healing are different concepts. To 'cure' is to erase symptoms while healing is to create a state of balance and wholeness. 

Reiki is not a religion, not a cure, not a one time thing, but rather a way of life. Reiki is passed from teacher to student through an in person initiation process. You cannot be attuned to Usui Reiki online. I earned Master Teacher status in March of 2005, and have proudly shared this healing art to over 500 individuals. I am attuned in the lineage of Diane Stein who wrote the book Essential Reiki A Complete Guide to an Ancient Healing Art. 

Reiki Level One class participants learn the hands-on method for direct healing and receive an attunement that creates the channeling ability. Upon completion of the course, you receive a Certificate of Achievement. You are now a Reiki Practitioner and can facilitate healing for yourself, others, pets and plants. Reiki benefits all living things. 

While traditional Reiki training is expensive, modern (non-traditional) costs much less. I am offering this training in Panama City at Jenks Professional Center, in the conference room in two 3 hour sessions. In the first class you learn self healing and in the second class you learn healing others. The cost for the entire course is $125, registration is required with a $25 deposit 48 hours before class start.
